English speech text example: Go green

Assalamualaikum wr.wb

Praise is to Allah, the lord of the world, and the sequel is for those who keep their duty unto him. Further, there will be no hostility except against wrongdoers.

Standing in front of you all, I’m ................ from SD ..................... would like to present my speech under the title of Becoming a moslem hero by caring the environment.

Ladies and gentlemen,

In this 10 November celebration of Heroic day, everyone talks about heroes and the idea of what a hero is.

Who is a hero? A superman? A batman? A james bond? An army?

Everyone might have different opinion about what a hero is. And to me, one of a hero is a savior of environmental destruction. Do you agree with me?

Ladies and gentlemen,

It has been predicted that in the last 100 years, the temperatures of our planet has increased by 1 degree’ every year. At the same time, the ocean surface has increased for about 1 meter from its former level. What’s our business in it?

The current earth situation is very different if we look back to the last century where the pollution, the industrial garbage, and the toxin gases were friendlier. Friendlier because on the 19^th Century, the technology improvement and the consumerism character were not significant. Or should we say in this millennium era, the earth exploitation and exploration have significantly caused the crucial problem for the nature. Human has caused the nature distraction  through illegal forest logging, factories and vehicle pollution  as well as mining exploration.

Allah has stated in Al Qur’an surah Ar rum:

Ladies and gentlemen, we might think that we are should not be responsible because we are not involved in all of those activities. However..we may not forget that we are student! Are you student?

We are educated as student and therefore,  we cannot only beg, beg, and beg to the nature and begging others to care. The question is “How”? How do we realize collectively for the world’s life so that so that the Earth could become a better place to live…?

Rasulullah SAW stated that EVERY MINDKIND IS KHALIFAH. EVERY OF US IS A LEADER AND EVERY LEADER WILL ASKED FOR RESPONSIBILITY ABOUT WHAT HE DID WHILE HE IS ALIVE.

We as the youth generations  must be the  one to create the vision & mission to help the government and the people in the green program and for the environment. We as the youth generation without exception must be totally devote our bodies & wills for the sake of comfortable world, and for the sake of better place to live. We can start it by planting tree or flower in our environment…Imagine! If every person has 1 plant in one house, there will be more than 200 millions of plants in Indonesia, am I right??

 This is a very good step to begin our mission to prevent the Global Warming. Start this on any time now! If you choose beautiful plant, the beauty will decorate our house so that we won’t feel bad to buy it. Double functions right?

So what are we waiting for? Before it’s too late, let’s just start it! Will you??
